A fashion shoot with window light

A couple of weeks ago I had my first go at a fashion / lifestyle shoot. Together with a girlfriend I created a set at her house. At first I was trying al sorts of stuff with strobes for main and fill, but that just didn’t give me the look I was going for. Eventually I decided to go back to the good old basics and use only available light and a reflector for fill. After I made that decision all came together and I felt confident about getting the pictures I wanted.

Lesson learned:
Don’t worry if things are not working out. Keep trying new ideas and sometimes take a couple of steps back to see what that other road might look like. For me that’s learning… Pushing myself towards new and exciting things while not stressing out too much if those things wont fall into place during first round. They will eventually, I am sure of that.

And now some of the pictures I took during the shoot I referred to as “a fashion shoot with window light”. I hope you like them. Don’t forget to share your thoughts either on Facebook, Twitter or here in the comments! Thanks :)
